Aerosafe habitats enable hot work such as welding or grinding to be undertaken on an oil or gas facility whilst it is operational
(hot work can be done without shutting down the production on platform), and with the associated risk of flammable hydrocarbon gases
in circulation – thereby maintaining production and minimizing the cost implications associated with shutdowns.
Hot work includes operations
that can produce flames or sparks that can result from welding, cutting, grinding and etc.
Aerosafe habitat (pressurized enclosure) works by providing a constant inflow of breathable air, which in turn, causes gas to be continuously removed from the chamber. This outflow of gases prevents the ingress of explosive gases or vapors.
Positive pressure rooms maintain a higher pressure inside the treated area than that of the surrounding environment. This means air can leave the room without circulating back in. In this way, any airborne particle that originates in the room will be filtered out.
